Bella - - adopted
She's thinking about chasing after Eve. Stalking mode...
The scratching board has become a nice little bed.
Eve - adopted
Eve looks like an adult version of Sparkles |
Eve loves her box of newspapers |
March 2014 - Eve was foster by a loving home for 2 weeks and they adopted her. yippee!!
Eve is a tortoiseshell. She is a little shy but loves attention and to be brushed. She takes a little time to warm up to people but once she has she's a little love bug.
Eve loves the box she claimed that stores the newspapers for the cages. She is such a sweet girl
I took her pic just as she yawned. She is such a cutey pie and a sweet cat. As a torti she does get temperamental but she'd be a great addition to your home.
Sept 15, 2013 - Eve is Mary's foster and I get to take care of her. She ran out of her time at Petsmart.
She is in her cage and her reaction was to hiss when put her in there and then when Bella was out and about - she hissed at Bella. Bella just looked at her with no reaction.
Eve and Bella - adopted
Bella is very fascinated with Eve who is just ignoring Bella.
Bella sees Eve and is thinking about taking off | after her |
Bella is now looking for Eve who is kind of trapped near the freezer. |
Eve claimed the box where I store the newspapers for cages. This is the first pic I was able to get with both of them looking up at me.

Star - adopted!
Sept 29 - Star was adopted!
Doesn't Star look so cute with her pink collar? She's a little cutie runt. Is this a giant litterbox behind her?
See a previous post is on these Star and her 4 siblings.

Star, princess, flower, flamingo and horse
Horse (bob tail) |
Star (runt) |
Princess (F)- adopted 9/14 at the Petsmart Adoptathon - silver tabby with a regular tail
Flower (F) - adopted 9/14 at the Petsmart Adoptathon - silver with a bob tail
Flamingo (M) - solid grey - adopted to family with 2 big dogs. I think he'll be fine. He didn't react adversely when nose to nose with a small dog in the Petsmart parking lot full of dogs. A golden retriever - leader dog put her nose right up to the cage and the cat didn't react at all to her.
Star - (F) - the runt of the litter - a brown tabby full of energy very vocal and hungry. She got special treatment cause she's so tiny.
Horse (M) - grey tabby with a bob tail - has an infected eye from a wound and is still having eye drops - no I didn't name him
They were named by a young child where they were staying.
9/14 - Star and Horse went to a new foster. I'll miss them but they'll get lots of love and attention.
9/14/2013 - Princess, Flower and Flamingo got adopted!
We have estimated their birthday 7/27/2013.
Snow White - adopted
Snow White has been Cindy's foster but I had the privilege of taking care of her so I guess she was partly my foster too. A sweet sweet gal. Rescued as a stray with 3 kittens. She's about a year old and is great with people. She can be wierd with other cats - perhaps a legacy of having lived outside and having to compete for resources? who knows. She does great with people and with kids and she'll be a great companion. She's a little skittish when she doesn't know you but warms up very quickly to strangers. She loves attention! She had fun playing with a litter of kittens that I had. I didn't let her out for several days with them until I had an idea of how she'd be with them. She kept trying to pat them and play with them when they got close to her cage. Eventually I let her out with them. One really liked her and chased her around the garage and she'd then chase him. It was fun to watch. Three of the kittens were adopted at Petsmart yesterday 9/14/2013. She went to the adoptathon also but wasn't adopted.
She is a jack russell cat I think if such a thing!! jumpy energetic and playful and a moody female.
9/27 - She was adopted by an enthusiastic family and will be the 3rd. The other 2 cats are 1 1/2 female and a 4 month old female scheduled for spay surgery on 10/13. I love enthusiastic adopters. She had been waiting for me for an hour to do the adoption.

Bella - available NOW!
Bella is actually Mary's foster but I'm taking care of her.
She is sweet, friendly but has a calico personality which can be moody and temperamental but full of character.
She seems to not like other cats much and takes a little time to adjust. Hissed even at me initially but I think that was because of the other cat and kittens. Having time out to run around, she has warmed up considerably. She also had 24 hrs to herself which she has enjoyed. She has warmed up to the kids next door and comes when I call her. She loves to be brushed - on her terms - and will sometimes want to play with the brush too. She loves heights as you can tell from the pics.
She chases the laser pointer but tires easily because she is carrying extra weight which I'm working to get off her. When she was up at Petsmart she over ate from boredom. She'd be a great addition to someone's family.

Mark - available now - at Petsmart NN
Sept 8, 2013 - Mark is just about 5 months.
Mark is actually Cindy's foster but I've enjoyed having him. I had the fun of taking care of him while Cindy was on vacation. He's the sweetest boy. Was really shy but has really gained confidence in the last couple of weeks that I've had him. Like his little beard?
The flash of the camera shocks him but he's the cutest sweetest playful kitten. He ran into Julius's cage while Julius was eating and proceeded to put his head in the bowl. Julius let him and didn't object or tell him off. Mark had seen Julius was with the other kittens - Sparkles, Athena and Angel so I guess he decided he could trust Julius.

Hey mom what is this whipper snapper doing in my cage. Eating MY food. hmmm.... |
Sparkles aka Sparky - adopted
Sparkles was a feral kitty trapped on Great Springs Rd near Smithfield. She was scared initially as you can see in the pic below which was taken day one. She warmed up quickly and in about a week was begging for attention. She was one of the three siblings. The other two are Athena (black with a little white) and Angel (a grey tabby).
One of the first kittens I've had that was decent in retrieving - whether a little mouse or a ball.
Her adopters could not be happier with her and I'm so glad. She definitely looks content in this picture.

This is when I first got her. Look at the fear in her eyes. She has come a long way! Angel is in the cage next to her.

The 4 P kitties - unavailable
Sad news. the kittens I have had for several weeks were tested today and found to be positive. One had already died - Patches. The other 3 tested 9/5 were positive for FIV. Their Dad was positive for Feline Leukemia so we knew the possibility existed of them being positive for FLV or FIV was great.
If the parents had only been TNR'ed they would never have been born. They were all loved immensely in the time that I had them. It is near impossible to find homes for FIV+ cats and waiting until they were 4 months old to retest was really not an option.
