Harper - adopted

Harper  is approximately 5-month old.  She was trapped with 2 other littermates.  One is ready and looking for a forever home at Cat Corner.  Harper needed some more time and attention.  The third Kota isn't going to be without LOTS of time and work.  She's still hissing anytime you get near her.

4/5/2015 - Peninsula Regional Animal Shelter - I picked up Kota and Harper

April 7, 2015  Harper is doing really well.  She overreacts to discipline if she starts getting swatty with me and I tell her no.  She withdraws to the back of the cage but then comes forward. She needs to learn acceptable behavior.  She is learning to play.  She's getting more secure with time.  Her sister Kota who watches her sisters antics will only hiss at me and have nothing to do with me.  My goal is to bring Harper back in the house over the weekend.  In the bathroom of course and work on play and get her nails clipped.  If she's cooperative I'd say she is ready to go and can go back to Cat Corner or another foster.  I have a pretty busy week next week.
Harper.  I'm not sure what
I think of humans yet.

Sat 4/11/15
Rita came over this afternoon. and Harper warmed up real quick and she notice that the right pupile is substantially larger then the left . Weird

Sun 4/12/15
I got a text I could bring her to CC for FVCRP but it was too rushed so she will wait until Wednesday.

I can play with her ears and feet. I wonder if the eye with the problem is actually the one that is dilated however her depth perception is perfect I can't notice any vision problem during play.  She loses.interest in laser pointer quickly but likes soft mice and soft balls.

Monday 4/13/2015 AM
I pretended I was the vet and checked her eyes. She did great.  She sat on my lap a "long" time.  Still not jumping up but that will happen with time.  She is content just to lie on lap and roll over.  All nails clipped.  She's really good.  No attacking clippers lol

Harper and Kota

Harper.  I'm not sure what

Kota - Jan 2016 - definitely more relaxed now
Harper and Kota are two 5-month old littermates that were trapped outside but can't go back where they were.  We are assessing for adoptability.  The third littermate - the boy - is adoptable and is waiting for a forever home at Cat Corner.  Harper might become adoptable however Kota isn't going to be without LOTS of time and work.  She's still hissing anytime you get near her.  Will Harper come around and be better?  We shall see.  (4/6/2015)

Niko

Niko (previously Frodo)  is 8 weeks old (as of 4/4) and my newest project.  Turns out he is actually a she.  She was found outside and is very scared.  She  has made a lot of progress in less than 48 hrs.  He's one of my first fosters with Cat Corner and after he is more settled and secure he will be going to another foster home.  Lots of cuddling at this point and handling.  If he is hiding in the litter box and I come to cage he now gets out to come to me for attention.

April 7, 2015  She  spent a lot of time cuddling last night and was content to roll around on my lap, come under my chin.   He's getting more curious about everything and more courageous.  Also getting playful.

April 5, 2015 - She  has made a lot of progress in less than 48 hrs.

April 4, 2015 - I get little Frodo (now Niko)  from the Peninsula Regional Animal Shelter and am fostering him for the Cat Corner.  He should be ready for adoption in another month once he is more socialized and neutered.  I named him sight unseen although I knew he was a grey kitty.   I started tossing names around in my head and Frodo from the Lord of the Rings came to me and I thought it would perfect for this little guy whose going to grow in courage while I have him.

He likes his hammock
