July 22, 2013 - is at Petsmart looking for a forever home.
July 23, 2013 - adopted!!! Wasn't even at Petsmart 24 hrs when I got a call from someone interested. He is one very fortunate cat. He'll be joining others and the folks who adopted him have had good success introducing new cats in. With lots of love he'll do great. He sure had fun with the kittens and wants he adjusts he'll be great in his new home with lots of love from two cat loving children.
Julius - when I first got him - they feel so much more secure in the litterbox for some reason |
Julius loves being up high. He still goes up into the rafters of the garage. I got tired of climbing up to get him. He climbed up - he can come down on his own if he wants. He is also content to be on one of the high shelves, right next to the cat trap.
Julius is the one that broke the curse of the 13s. He went to ARF clinic as 13G. His FIV/FLV test came back negative. I had 13, 13B,13C,13D,13E,13F - all 6 positive FIV. He's a wonderful cat to have broken the 13's but now that he isn't going back to the colony and is named Julius - I could reuse the number 13 since I'm trying to have the feral cat numbers contiguous but then again I shouldn't be getting any more. I'd only be getting more if the owners are irresponsible and they run away or are left out because they are spraying or both. Both cats I trapped were not neutered. Males not neutered have the strongest urine. It is powerful smelling. Having these 2 cats for a week recovering (I let them have longer than usual) their pee took a little while calm down. The bully cat is now back out. I kept him in a cage for a week to assess whether or not he might be adoptable but decided he isn't or would take a very long time so he's back out. I did hear cats last night almost having a cat fight. As soon as I opened the door it was quiet. I wondered if I imagined it but Pepper did react and jumped out of bed.
This is Julius with Ethal who as you can tell definitely needs to lose weight. . She is 6 yrs old and weighs 16#. They are focused on that "toy". She has been adopted to a guy who has another cat. They are getting to know each other - slowly.
Julius loves to be up high as you can see. One of the first times he was out he was up in the rafters and he wanted me to rescue him and go up and get him. He had to learn - if he gets up there he has to come down by himself.
Are you gonna help me down - Mom - Nope - you got yourself up there you can get yourself down. He enjoyed the entire day out.
