July 8 - she went into Petsmart and I got a call that evening. Finalized adoption on July 9. Great home.
June 24 - sweet girl needed to come out as her incision site is red and perhaps a little swollen. neosporin hopefully will do the trick. I think she also had a reaction to Advantage as she has a bald spot where I applied it. Pepper used to have a reaction to Revolution and a few times a year he'll get a bald spot there too.
June 17 - yesterday's surgery - no female sex organs found. already spayed. At one year old she must have been spayed early. She now has a tattoo curtesy of PETA. I'm a firm believer in tattoos. She is doing great. A little bruised from prodding and surgery but doing great. One week from now she'll be up for adoption.
June 16 - surgery day for Willow. You could hear her across the parking lot at Midtown meeowing as I filled out paperwork. I had to wait for a line of dogs. Something I haven't had to do in the past. I brought her closer to the line with the door facing where all the dogs were. She settled and relaxed just watching all the activity. I think she'll be good in a house with either cats and/or dogs. She has wanted to make friends with Marilyn but keeps her distance when Marilyn hisses at her. Come see her at Petsmart NEXT week. I hope to have her up there - space permitting on June 23.
Willow is definitely a licker. |
okay - a selfie. the best one I could get. |
June 14 - Willow is a sweet cat. She'll be spayed on Monday. She loves affection. She has earned garage privileges and has been out a couple of days off and on. She doesn't react to Marilyn's hissing unless they are in close proximity and she'll hiss back. I haven't had them both out loose together though.
June 10 - Willow came to me. She is a stray abandoned by a renter. Don't know if she is spayed or not. The renter in fact doesn't claim ownership of her. She's friendly. A little traumatized at this point and getting settled. She wasn't too happy to have to share the garage with rambunctious kittens which she just hissed at. We'll make sure she gets spayed and then she'll go up for adoption! I'll have at least a couple of weeks to get to know her better.
